Early in the morning of January 20 at the 22nd kilometer of the Kola Highway in the Vsevolozhsky District of the Leningrad Region, the driver of a fuel tanker lost control. According to the State Institution «Lenoblpogas», a Scania-branded vehicle veered into a ditch around two in the morning.

Emergency services assessed the scene of the accident to manage the fuel leak and traffic flow.

According to the data from the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM), the truck, which was carrying 30 cubic meters of gasoline, overturned on its side on Murmansk Highway near the village of Razmetelevo. The department reported: «At the scene, a drip leak of fuel has been recorded. Traffic on the highway is not blocked. There are no casualties. To eliminate the consequences and assess the situation, representatives of the administration and road service have been sent to the site.»

Drivers using Yandex Maps reported that cleanup efforts were still underway on the highway.
