43 Drones Shot Down Over Krasnodar Krai and Sea

On the evening of January 20, over Krasnodar Krai and the Black Sea, seven UAVs were shot down, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported. Another 29 drones were destroyed over the waters of the Azov Sea. This occurred from 20:00 to 23:00. In total, 53 aircraft were intercepted over Russian regions. The department«s report does not mention Adygea.

Earlier, the authorities of Adygea confirmed the arrival of a drone in the village of Novaya Adygea. According to the head of the republic, Murat Kumpilov, a multi-story building caught fire, and the flames affected a parking lot with cars. Shortly before that, residents of Adygea and several districts of Krasnodar heard loud explosions in the sky. What local residents say about the attack has been compiled in this article.

In Krasnodar, there is no damage. The city«s operational headquarters (MCU) immediately stated that no reports had been received. Later, the regional operational headquarters reported that »as a result of repelling the UAV attack, no damage was recorded on the territory of the city.«
