Over 11,000 Cases of ARVI Reported in Altai Krai Last Week

During the fourth week of 2026, Altai Krai recorded 11,500 cases of ARVI, a slight decrease from the previous week, as influenza viruses continue to spread.

During the fourth week (from January 19 to 25) of 2026, 11.5 thousand cases of ARVI were registered in Altai Krai. This is 1.3% lower than the previous week«s figure, according to the regional office of Rospotrebnadzor (the Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing).

According to the agency, the circulation of influenza viruses A(H3N2) and A(H1N1)09, as well as non-influenza viruses such as rhinoviruses and respiratory syncytial viruses, continues in Altai Krai.

To prevent the spread of influenza and ARVI in Altai Krai, additional sanitary and anti-epidemic measures have been introduced in medical, social, and educational organizations since December 15, 2025. They continue to be in effect.

Recall that from January 12 to 18, 11.6 thousand cases of ARVI were registered in Altai Krai, which was 65.8% higher than the week before.
