Large-scale operational-tactical anti-terror drills are planned for January 30 in Volgograd at high-speed tram stations. Due to the drills, changes in tram routes and access control at underground platforms ST and ST-2 are possible.
“In accordance with the plan for anti-terror drills for 2026 approved by the chairman of the NAC, the operational headquarters in the Volgograd region is conducting an operational-tactical anti-terror drill on January 30, 2026 in the hero city of Volgograd on the topic: ‘Organization and conduct of measures to prevent a terrorist act at a transport infrastructure facility — the Volgograd high-speed tram,’” the operational headquarters reported.
City residents are asked to be understanding of possible inconveniences and temporary restrictions related to the drill. The operational headquarters also urges people not to spread false rumors and notes that all important information will be communicated to citizens promptly.
Details of upcoming changes in the schedule and access to stations are being clarified with the Volgograd administration.
