Concreting of Sennaya Metro Station Foundation Begins in Nizhny Novgorod

In Nizhny Novgorod on Sennaya Square, the concreting of the foundation for the under-construction Sennaya metro station has begun. According to information from the Telegram channel «MetroNN», 25 concrete mixer trucks equipped with heating systems were deployed for this.

The first operation took nine hours. 300 cubic meters of concrete mix were placed into the prepared reinforcement cage of the initial section. This structure will serve as the foundation for the block of technical premises of the underground station complex.

The next stage will be the «drying» of the solution, necessary for its effective hardening. The process will be accompanied by technological care for the concrete and constant quality control.

Simultaneously, builders are preparing for the installation of reinforced concrete structures for the subsequent section of the station.

On the surface of Sennaya Square, binding beams are already being installed, forming a solid foundation for the future station. As part of these works, 33 tons of metal reinforcement cage are to be installed and over 600 cubic meters of concrete poured.

The contract for the construction of new metro stations in the Nagornaya part of Nizhny Novgorod has been extended until December 2027. Initially, completion of the works was planned for the end of 2025.
