Sequel to Disaster Film 'Greenland: Migration' Released

The premiere of the film «Greenland: Migration», directed by Ric Roman Waugh, will take place on January 29.
The plot continues the story of the Garrity family — John and Allison, who survived the comet impact that destroyed civilization by taking shelter in a Greenland bunker.
The post-catastrophe world has become hostile: the atmosphere is torn by electromagnetic storms, the land is contaminated with radiation, and shakes with underground tremors.
Upon learning of a safe zone in southern France where life is beginning to revive, the family is forced to embark on a dangerous journey through the frozen ruins of Europe.
The main roles, as in the first film, are played by
- Gerard Butler (who also served as producer), known for films like «300» and «Law Abiding Citizen».
- Morena Baccarin, star of «Deadpool» and «Firefly».
The cast is joined by Roman Griffin Davis, T.J. Jenkins, and Amber Rose Revah.
Director Ric Roman Waugh, known for thrillers like «Felon» and «Shot Caller», studied real events such as the Chernobyl disaster and massive wildfires in Australia to create a credible depiction of global catastrophe.
«I wanted to create a large-scale yet plausible spectacle with a human message: what legacy are we leaving for our children?» explained the director.
Filming took place under challenging conditions in Iceland and the United Kingdom.
To depict a destroyed Earth, a combination of location shooting and computer graphics (CGI) was used.
Film critics already note that Gerard Butler«s powerful performance makes the sequel just as thrilling as the original.
The film has an age restriction of 18+.
