Outcast expelled from 'Survive in Istanbul' — who is the black sheep?

The latest episode of the show «Survive in Istanbul» revealed how the celebrities truly feel about the ordinary contestants, and vice versa. It showed that people unfamiliar with show business aren«t as simple as they might seem at first glance. What made the fourth episode memorable, and who left the project?

In the previous episode, viewers saw the triumph of the people«s team: Alena Blin, who »accidentally« ended up among them, secured a victory over the stars in minor challenges. As a result, the participants, who were abroad for the first time, moved from the Istanbul forest to a luxurious villa.

But instead of enjoying her victory and comfortable life on the project with everyone, Alena Zhigalova immediately headed for a new challenge. This time, it was personal. It was an opportunity to earn immunity for herself, as the hosts realized that the «people»s team« would continue to vote against the star journalist. Which, by the way, none of the participants hid or were ashamed of.

Mia Boyko faced the same fate — she lost the support of Yekaterina Gordon, who left the show. Now the singer is alone against her own team, which has turned against her.

So, Alena Zhigalova and Mia Boyko spent 40 hours alone in Istanbul, completing various tasks from the show«s organizers — from searching for the Russian consulate to hitchhiking to the participants» camp. They did all this separately and with varying success.

Meanwhile, their teammates settled into their new places. The people«s team — moved to the villa and went for a yacht ride, where they played a game with host Lyaysan Utyasheva. By answering tricky questions, the participants earned advantages for the next challenges with the stars.

As for the stars, they grumbled about the former inhabitants of the forest camp and meanwhile customized it to their liking.

In the new season, a punishment was devised for the losing participants: they must «serve» the winners. In this episode, the stars had to do a thorough cleaning of the villa: washing sheets, mopping floors, and so on.

In gratitude, the people«s team sent a washbasin to the stars» camp. Actress Maria Gorban was most delighted by such generosity — she had been complaining about the unfamiliar living conditions. Even one night away from a luxurious hotel room was hard for her. The actress couldn«t sleep on a synthetic pillow and threw it away.

And while the stars dreamed of clean sheets and a hot meal, real passions flared up at the villa.

Igor Prokhorov from Tyumen decided to stage a small provocation for Alena Blin«s friend — Sergey Stepantsov. He suspected that the newly minted player was playing unfairly and decided to test him.

The Tyumen native is a professional volleyball team coach. During his work, he learned to understand people, strategies, and game psychology. All this led him to the idea of planting a fake immunity on Sergey. Such a bonus was given at the very beginning of the show when moving into the villa, and it went to Kuzma Saprykin in the first episode. Therefore, it was easy for the participant to believe in the authenticity of the coveted envelope.

Igor Prokhorov didn«t bother with design and simply wrote the word »immunity« by hand on a piece of paper. And on the back, a condition: »It will burn if the other participants find out about it.«

«I didn»t do this for intrigue. But for understanding — whether he«s playing honestly or not. Sergey could destroy the team from within,» Igor Prokhorov explained his action on the show.

Sergey Stepantsov was happy with such a gift of fate, but off-camera said that he wouldn«t voluntarily talk about the immunity. But if someone asks, he will admit it.

The major challenge in this episode tested not only team cohesion but also leadership qualities. The teams had to choose one captain each who would guide «blind participants»: the others simply had masks put on their eyes and carried their leader through an obstacle course. Thus, the people«s team and the stars collected puzzle pieces at speed. The stars won this challenge.

When the teams dispersed to their camps and started thinking about whom to nominate for voting, the intrigue with the fake immunity was revealed. Igor Prokhorov openly asked Sergey why he took so long to come out of the room and if he found something there. Sergey himself stated that he wanted to vote either against his boss Alena Blin or Darya Vykhodtseva (considering her to be downcast).

The star team cherished the hope that Mia Boyko would return by evening, so they could vote against her.

However, at the ceremony itself, it turned out that neither Alena Blin nor singer Mia Boyko had yet returned from their tasks. All players had to make a decision on the spot.

So, the people«s team almost unanimously named Sergey Vykhodtsev. And the stars — Irina Shibetskaya (a simple baker who also accidentally ended up in the star team). She is voted against as often as Alena Blin is in the people»s team.

In the challenge, Sergey won. And Irina went home, thanking everyone for their support and the chance to prove herself.
