Natalia Lokhmatova Wins 333 Million Rubles in Lottery

The winner of the «New Year»s Billion« lottery, who received 333 million rubles (approximately $3.5 million at current rates), is Natalia Lokhmatova, a resident of Sverdlovsk Oblast. She is a teacher-psychologist and lives in a small settlement.

As reported by the lottery«s press service, the woman is currently on maternity leave caring for her two-year-old son. In her family, participating in lotteries is a tradition that is always followed on New Year»s. Therefore, on November 25, she bought several tickets that had eights — Natalia«s lucky number.

«On the 25th day of the 25th year — on this interesting date — I had a premonition that I would win a large sum! Moreover, I have a green thumb: everything I plant in the ground always sprouts very quickly. I think that on the day I bought the tickets, everything aligned: the interesting date, the premonition, and the green thumb!» says Natalia.

In January, the woman missed the New Year«s broadcast, so she found out about the win later by logging into her personal account on Stoloto. Seeing the amount, she couldn»t believe her own eyes. After tax deduction, she will receive 261.6 million rubles (approximately $2.7 million at current rates). She plans to donate part of the money to charity and also wants to help her mother. The rest will be spent on her family.

«Life will change dramatically this year! There are many other plans for the winnings: I want to buy a car, an apartment, secure my son»s future, and help relatives,« shares the winner.

Besides the Sverdlovsk resident, a resident of Tyumen also won in the lottery. However, he still hasn«t claimed his prize, and nothing is known about him.
