Minute-long AI video depicts Perm's history with dinosaurs and 'Real Boys'

Dinosaurs running along the esplanade, shamans, Motovilikha cannons, and «Real Boys» — all of this is included in a one-minute AI video about Perm«s history. The unusual video was created and published on his Instagram* page by Chelyabinsk resident Yevgeny Solovyov.

Yevgeny runs his social media under the nickname cdmm249. He mainly posts videos about tourist outings and travels. In January, he launched a new video format — using AI graphics to tell stories about cities in the Urals. The episode about Chelyabinsk has already been watched by over 220,000 people, the one about Yekaterinburg — 580,000. The video about Perm was released on January 25 and has already garnered about 75,000 views.

In the frame, prehistoric lizards are screaming near «Happiness is Just Around the Corner», and the workers at the Motovilikha plant clearly bear the features of the actors from the series «Real Boys» (16+). Commentators are reacting to such fusion with enthusiasm.

«Now that»s a blockbuster!«, »Real Boys playing factory workers are cool!« — they write.

However, apart from praising comments, there are also critical ones: many express complaints about the pronunciation of the word «Perm».

«Everything is good, but PERM ruins it all», «How it grates on the ears», «Correct the phonetics in the first seconds — and it will be super!» — note those who watched the video.

«I tried to correct the narrator, but the programs just won»t read the name Perm correctly,« explains the author.
