The story of MC Kisulya began by chance. In university, the girl decided to record humorous videos for her friends. Soon, the local meme spread across Russia: «In the moment, the image of MC Kisulya is created: a turtleneck is pulled on, a bob haircut is done, lips are painted, a mole is drawn, glasses are put on. It was all an absolute flow, self-irony. The track was written to the first beat that came along. I decided I would be Tomochka Pryalkina.»
The pseudonym MC Kisulya also appeared spontaneously. For her image, Yulia found a turtleneck with cats, gifted by her mother. She admitted that in everyday life she never wore it, but for the character, the item was perfect.
«I uploaded this video to a page on VKontakte, which I had just created to complement this joke. I sent it to friends, and it should have ended there. But then I go into the social network and see that some boom is starting there. I don»t understand what«s happening, who these people are, why they are writing to me,» the artist shared her memories.
