Ksenia Khabarova from Arkhangelsk Reviews Her Breakout Year 2025
In 2025, 29.RU featured many interesting personalities, and we are recalling some of them during these holiday days. Among them is Arkhangelsk native Ksenia Khabarova, who became memorable to many for her songs and videos, as well as her participation in the show «Let»s Get Married!« (16+) on Channel One. Some were outraged by the northerner»s creativity, while others perceived it from a position of personal freedom: «do what you dream of.» In any case, no one was left indifferent.
Ksenia gained fame on social networks thanks to short videos, self-penned songs, and a distinctive vocal style. The singer«s signature track (her pseudonym is KMKh) became »Svobodnaya« (Free), along with the live video for it, filmed at the »Koleso« club.
«It was »Svobodnaya« that really took off,» Ksenia told 29.RU. «I think it»s because in the video I have a very confident, somewhat amusing facial expression. And those movements, the precise and sharp music... «Svobodnaya» — I think people were triggered by that word: you can play with it, imagine many interesting, new things.«
The «Svobodnaya» video garnered the most views on Instagram* and a huge number of comments: people mocked the song and the performer, offered advice, and some offered support. Other social media users also made new videos to the song.
After the publication of «Svobodnaya,» stars also noticed Ksenia«s account: comedian Elena Vorobey and Comedy Woman participant Ekaterina Varnava subscribed to it. Among those who paid attention to KMKh»s work was actor and comedian Mikhail Galustyan.
According to Ksenia, she always dreamed of singing but for a long time did not dare to pursue it seriously. But at some point, the desire outweighed her fears. So, from the end of 2023, the girl began working on her vocal career. She even consulted professional vocal coaches but at some point felt she wanted to sing and train her voice independently.
«I thought, »No way, where would I even sing — you need to know so much, communicate and negotiate with people,«» Ksenia recalls. «And I always put it on the back burner. But at some point, I pulled myself together and devised a plan, a strategy — how to do everything that had been floating in the clouds for so long. I focused and did it. I decided I would record a song right away. I decided I had no time for vocal training; I just wanted to sing and perform immediately. I know many view this with hate, but sorry, friends, life is short, and I»m ready to achieve everything quickly.«
In the summer, Ksenia became a participant in the TV show «Let»s Get Married«, where she, along with other girls, vied for the attention of taxi driver Maxim, who loves to sing. The entire episode was accompanied by musical performances: ultimately, not only Ksenia sang, but also her rivals, and the groom presented them with figurines in the shape of a treble clef.
From the conversation with the hosts, more about the Arkhangelsk singer«s biography became known. For example, she spoke about her musician father, who gave up a medical career: he dropped everything, went to St. Petersburg, enrolled in a conservatory, and became a saxophonist. The girl cited absolute loneliness as the reason for writing her songs.
After the conversation, Ksenia performed her hit «Svobodnaya» on stage. The groom liked the performance, but host Larisa Guzeeva criticized the northern singer (as well as the other brides in that episode).
But in the end, Maxim chose Ksenia — at the end of the show, they walked out on stage together.
The Arkhangelsk native spoke about her television experience and her work in a lengthy interview for 29.RU. This included how the episode of «Let»s Get Married!« ended.
«I supported the groom and came out when he knocked for me because I simply felt sorry for him on a human level,» Ksenia admitted. «Roza and Larisa harassed everyone so much that I wanted to leave at least some harmony, human kindness. So I supported him.»
What«s next? At 29.RU»s request, Ksenia briefly assessed 2025 — the time when she became famous. And also — hinted at changes in her life.
«The year was successful creatively,» the girl said. «2025 gave me new acquaintances and projects, as well as super immunity to hate. But now I feel like a completely different person, much has changed. And I see the next stage of my life differently.»
