Kirkorov Performs Song for Yaroslavl Woman on TNT's 'Konfetka'
Svetlana Matveevskaya, a resident of Yaroslavl, participated in the musical show «Konfetka» (16+) on the TNT channel. In the New Year«s episode, she came face-to-face with a star jury consisting of Demis Karibidis, Olga Buzova, and Sergei Svetlakov. As a special guest for the fourth season, Polina Gagarina was invited.
Participants in the show present songs and music videos of their own authorship, and pop stars add their own details to turn them into real hits. The main prize, which participants compete for, is 500,000 rubles (approximately $5,300 at current rates).
«Sounds Like a Potential Hit»
On the show, Svetlana Matveevskaya presented a music video for her song «You Annoy Me.»
«It sounds to me like a potential hit that can be spread everywhere. In a good, cool pop performance, it could be a total hit,» said Sergei Svetlakov.
After watching the video, Svetlana herself was invited on stage. She said that she works as a logistics department head at a large federal company.
«Creativity was always in my life, but I actively ignored it. At 45, life begins again, and I decided to engage in creativity. And share with the world everything I»ve accumulated. I started writing poetry, and then songs. I started living, loving, and being a happy woman. Not just a mother and a boss, but also a creative person,« the show»s heroine said.
The show«s host, Garik Martirosyan, congratulated the Yaroslavl woman on the New Year, and she, in turn, greeted him in Armenian.
Svetlana said that the song was born thanks to an employee who was once transferred to her department.
«He is very noisy, emotional, and his favorite phrase: »You annoy me.« And I observe all this, and such a fantasy was born. And I wrote a song,» the Yaroslavl woman said.
Svetlana Matveevskaya said that she searched for the hero for her music video for over three months.
Kirkorov Jokingly Chokes the Yaroslavl Woman
After Svetlana told the story of the song«s origin, singer MARGO (MargO Ovsyannikova — Ed.) and Philipp Kirkorov took the stage. They performed the track conceived by the Yaroslavl resident, with their own arrangement. At the end of the star performance, the hall erupted in applause. And Svetlana»s eyes filled with tears.
«Happy New Year, Aunt Sveta!» Kirkorov addressed the Yaroslavl woman. And then he almost sat on her lap. His communication with Svetlana did not end there.
«Ah, how you annoy me, annoy me, annoy me,» Kirkorov growled and began jokingly choking the Yaroslavl woman.
Afterwards, Olga Buzova shared her impressions of the performance.
«It turned out to be a very beautiful performance, a beautiful number, beautiful you. And she really sounds cool. It suits you very well,» the TV star said.
«I don»t know, Svetlana, how you even talk, because your song was sung by the king. Understand?« said Polina Gagarina.
«And star number one!» added MARGO.
The happy Yaroslavl resident thanked all the participants.
«I am actually grateful. This is New Year, miracles happen,» Svetlana said.
From the stage, Svetlana Matveevskaya left hand in hand with MARGO.
Did Not Get Half a Million
The main prize of the episode — 500,000 rubles (approximately $5,300 at current rates) — Svetlana did not manage to get. She did not reach the final voting stage, scoring 35 points in the audience voting stage. In the jury«s final decision, the half million was decided to be given to another »Konfetka« participant — Yekaterina Fedunkina.
