The blocking of websites with answers to school homework assignments is being actively discussed online. Parents of Novosibirsk students shared their thoughts on homework help sites (GDS) in comments under a post in our Telegram channel.
NGS reader Natalia believes that the blocks are not scary for children, and they will still find a way to peek at the homework help sites.
«The main workload is at school, at home it»s minimal. Otherwise, parents, after working a shift at work, then a «second shift» with household chores, are forced to do homework until night, because the child cannot cope,« wrote another reader, Elena.
«If knowledge were given in full at school under one program, as it was for us, the parents, then it would be easier to help. There can be several ways to solve one problem. But the program requires a specific method, and here I, as a parent, go to the site and see how they should solve it at this age. Well, printed answer books will return. And also, when in a dead end, the child can at least not just copy, but really think about why it was necessary to solve and reason that way. Well, if it»s not a poor student, of course, who just copies,« thinks Siberian resident Alexandra.
«Our math teacher complains that they bring assignments with a solution that hasn»t been studied. The math teacher is good, explains topics in simple terms. But if a child from elementary school is used to the fact that mom/dad will solve for him, the internet will help, then what does the teacher have to do with it?« shares Natalia.
Earlier, NGS published the opinions of Novosibirsk residents on changes in the food market.
