In 2026, five children«s art schools in Samara will receive new musical instruments and equipment. Under the federal project »Family Values and Cultural Infrastructure« of the national project »Family«, more than 18 million rubles (approximately $200,000 at current rates) have been allocated for these purposes.

— In Samara, there are 34 children«s art schools with almost 16,000 students. It is important that music lessons are not only interesting but also conducted using high-quality musical instruments. The national project »Family« allows for the regular updating of the material and technical base of Samara»s cultural institutions. This year, new musical instruments will appear in five art schools. I hope this will be an incentive for improving the skills of young talents and new victories in prestigious competitions, — said Samara Mayor Ivan Noskov.

Among the institutions for which new musical instruments and equipment will be purchased this year are the A.Ya. Bass Children«s Art School, Children»s Art Schools No. 6 and 9, Children«s Art School No. 2, and the G.E. Zinger Children»s Art School. For the art schools, grand pianos, pianos, bayans, and accordions will be purchased, as well as sheet music collections and educational materials; art schools will be equipped with interactive panels and will replenish their still life and library collections.

— We are very happy about the upcoming update. Unpacking a new instrument is always a special moment for every musician, whether it«s an experienced adult artist or a child just starting to learn. For us, this is a wonderful opportunity to improve the educational process, and I am sure that such changes will help our kids conquer new creative heights, — shared the director of the A.Ya. Bass Children»s Art School in Samara, Elizaveta Smorkalova.

The national project «Family» launched in the country in 2025 on the order of Russian President Vladimir Putin. The new national project is the successor to the previously operating national projects «Demography» and «Culture». It involves measures that contribute to the comprehensive development of families: expanding support measures, creating conditions for active longevity of the older generation, ensuring high-quality and accessible medical care.
