Ural schoolboy who stabbed passerby in entrance says 'I took a knife and went for a walk'

In the settlement of Gornouralsky near Nizhny Tagil, a 15-year-old teenager has been accused of murdering a woman. Schoolboy Anton (name changed — Ed.) stabbed 47-year-old Natalya Kiryanova on January 6 when she was going home, and then fled. The victim died in the hospital a few days later, and the boy was placed under house arrest, but he escaped. The young man was on the run for five days until he was detained on the evening of January 19.

The suspect and the victim were not acquainted, lived in different places, and had no connection. How did the teenager explain his actions?
‘He showed no signs of remorse during the first interrogation. And he cannot explain the reason for the attack himself — he did it thoughtlessly. He said he felt bad, took a knife, and went for a walk. In the entrance, he met a woman, passed her on the stairs, then went back down and stabbed her in the stomach. After that, he just left. Moreover, at the time of the crime he was sober,’ a source from E1.RU reported.
Residents of Gornouralsky put forward several versions of what happened. According to one, the accused may have a mental health diagnosis that has not yet been established. According to another, the reason lay in another emergency that Anton had caused: the young man and his friends twice beat up a mentally disabled teenager. Allegedly, a woman passing by at that time had scolded the hooligans, and Anton might have mistaken Natalya for that woman.
‘Many versions circulated around the settlement. It was assumed that Anton might have done it on a dare with friends. And there was another version that there was some stash on the upper floor and he was afraid of being caught. This teenager had been caught drinking many times, but nothing is known for sure about drugs, that«s more of an assumption,’ local resident Elena told E1.RU.
Natalya«s acquaintances note that she was a wonderful mother and a calm person. And about Anton, they say that he kept the settlement in fear. He regularly started fights, and when he escaped from house arrest, residents were afraid to leave their homes. The fugitive was caught thanks to a tip from another child — law enforcement officers detained Anton when he came to celebrate a friend»s birthday in an apartment.
Earlier we reported on how the teenager was detained and what is known about this emergency.
The Investigative Committee reported that the teenager has already been charged. A criminal case has been initiated under Part 1 of Article 105 of the Russian Criminal Code (murder). The head of the Russian Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin, instructed the head of the Sverdlovsk region Investigative Committee to report on the progress of the criminal investigation.
