Ulyanovsk Police Join Schoolgirl Bullying Case Investigation

Ulyanovsk police, together with the Investigative Committee, are establishing the circumstances of the incident involving a 14-year-old schoolgirl, the press service of the regional police department reported. On January 29, information appeared on social media that the girl«s parents had allegedly previously contacted the authorities, but the police did not act.

«We report that no information from the parents and representatives of the educational organization about the above facts had been received by the police earlier. The illegal behavior of the girl»s peers became known only after the emergency occurred,« the police explained.

Let us recall that a 14-year-old resident of Ulyanovsk was hospitalized with injuries after falling from a height on Fruktovaya Street. According to preliminary information, the girl was subjected to bullying by her peers. The Investigative Committee has opened a criminal case.
