Tula court sentences drunk soldier for attacking superior

A drunk Russian soldier has been convicted of attacking his commanding officer. He was sentenced to seven years and detained in the courtroom.

The Tula Garrison Military Court has considered a criminal case against a serviceman who beat his superior. This information was disseminated by the joint press service of the judicial system of Tula Oblast and the Regional Judicial Department.
The incident occurred in July 2025 in one of the offices at the military unit headquarters. According to the court, the serviceman was in a state of alcohol intoxication and attacked his superior on a fabricated pretext. The incident happened during the period of partial mobilization and constituted a violation of the requirements of the Internal Service Charter and the Disciplinary Charter of the Russian Armed Forces.
During the court proceedings, the defendant fully admitted guilt and repented for his actions.
The court found the serviceman guilty and sentenced him to seven years of imprisonment to be served in a strict-regime colony. The convicted man was taken into custody right in the courtroom.
During the announcement of the verdict, about 300 servicemen were present at the hearing, including the unit«s command staff, as well as servicemen serving under contract and on conscription.
