Court in Volgograd Oblast has taken into custody a man accused of organizing a brutal beating of teenagers. The conflict arose after his son quarreled with schoolchildren, and the father allegedly hired professional boxers to carry out the assault.

The incident occurred on 27 December last year in the khutor of Krasnodonsky, Ivolginsky District, Volgograd Oblast (Russia). The attack was prompted by a fight that broke out earlier at a New Year«s disco in a local club. Parents of the affected teenagers fear that due to connections in law enforcement, the guilty parties might avoid punishment.

The case gained public resonance, after which the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia (Sledstvennyy Komitet, SK) Alexander Bastrykin ordered to be reported on the progress of the investigation. On 1 January 2026, a criminal case was initiated under the article «Hooliganism».

The Joint Press Service of the Courts of General Jurisdiction of Volgograd Oblast reported: «On 4 January, minor Nikita Fedorov was placed under house arrest by court decision. Anton Anton evaded the preliminary investigation bodies, was declared a federal fugitive, on 14 January he was charged in absentia. On 19 January, Anton Fedorov was detained. On 21 January, the court selected a preventive measure for Anton Fedorov in the form of detention until 1 March. The ruling has not entered into legal force.»

The Investigative Committee explained that only two people are being held criminally liable:

«Two are suspects in the case — the father and son. The actions of the other participants in the events are seen as committing an administrative offense.»
