Juvenile inspector charged in Kansk child murder case

Criminal case against the juvenile inspector
Investigators have completed the investigation into the criminal case against a senior juvenile inspector from Kansk. She is accused of negligence — the case was opened after the horrific murder of three children in the city.

The father tortured his children
Recall that in spring 2025, a 29-year-old woman in Kansk axed to death three young children: a four-year-old girl and two boys aged seven months and eight years. It was later revealed that the woman was registered with a psychiatrist and at the time of the murder did not realize what she was doing. Prior to this, as the investigation established, their father had systematically tortured them.
According to the Investigative Committee, in October 2024, a school teacher found signs of beating on his first-grader. After his report, the juvenile affairs commission placed the family in which the boy was being raised on personal registration. And the senior inspector was supposed to find out what was happening in the family, under what conditions the children were being raised, and after all this, submit materials for the removal of the children from the family.
But she did nothing — according to investigators, the woman limited herself to a conversation with the father and a single visit to the family.
«The accused, in violation of job instructions, did not collect character materials, did not organize conversations with representatives of medical organizations and education authorities, did not establish the fact that the children»s mother had a mental disorder.
Having information about repeated violence against the child by the father, she did not inform the authorized bodies about this and did not submit proposals to the relevant bodies to apply measures against the parents,« investigators said.
As told to NGS24.RU by the press service of the Investigative Committee, the inspector did not admit her guilt. Her case is now being transferred to the prosecutor«s office for approval of the indictment. She faces mandatory work for up to 360 hours, corrective labor for up to one year, or a fine of up to 120,000 rubles (approximately $1,300 at current rates).
In December 2025, in Kansk, the father was convicted, who had beaten his wife and children for many years. He was sentenced to four years in a general regime colony. In addition, at the prosecutor«s lawsuit, the court awarded compensation for moral damages in favor of the child — 300,000 rubles (approximately $3,300 at current rates).
We have collected details of this nightmare case in a separate story.
