Friend recounts bus stop murder in Moscow Region

Today in Elektrostal, Moscow Region, they buried Ilya P., an 18-year-old who died in a fight with 19-year-old native of Tajikistan, Imomali Turdiev. The latter was detained and sent to a pre-trial detention center on murder charges, and he partially admitted guilt.

Turdiev«s relatives flew in from Siberia for the hearing. His friend also came — one of the participants in the scuffle with a tragic end. He told MSK1.RU his version of events.

The tragedy occurred in Elektrostal on January 18. On a bus, Ilya«s group got into a conflict with native of Tajikistan Imomali Turdiev. According to Baza, the migrant stood up for a girl to whom a group of guys was making indecent gestures. A fight broke out on the street.

Preliminarily, after some time, Imomali returned to the group with a friend — then flare guns, pepper sprays, and knives were used. As a result, Ilya sustained knife wounds to the kidney area. The driver of an arriving bus tried to save Ilya and took him to the hospital, but the medics« efforts were in vain.

The friend who spoke with MSK1.RU explained that he does not know the cause of the conflict and did not see what initially happened on the bus. Moreover, he stated that he does not know if Imomali brought a knife with him. When they arrived at the bus stop, the group was already in a negative mood.

«I approached them, greeted one, then the second. He told me: »I don«t greet non-Russians.» I asked him: «Are you a Nazi or what? Do you have a personal grudge?» He started telling that he was allegedly once hit on the head with a bottle, because of which he stutters. And he started…«

According to the friend, he was recording the scuffle on his phone, and his opponents were hiding their faces behind masks. He handed over the video footage and his phone to investigators.

«They were all hiding their faces behind masks, I caught one, I say: »Show your face.« At that moment, they sprayed something in my eyes. I heard gunshots. I didn»t know then if it was a real pistol or not.«

On the guy«s face, the MSK1.RU correspondent noticed burns — right under the eyes. According to him, because of this, he did not see the moment of the attack on the deceased Ilya.

Imomali himself has lived in Russia since first grade. He moved to Moscow last fall. And he went to school in Kemerovo, from where his relatives came. According to Imomali«s brother, the family learned about the tragedy from social media and was shocked.

«At first, I thought my brother was killed, first of all. It never even occurred to me that my brother was capable of such a thing,» admitted Imomali«s older brother in a conversation with MSK1.RU, »that he would go fight against four. He was with a friend — two against four. Why isn«t anything being said to the family?»

In Elektrostal, Imomali worked at a marketplace warehouse. According to his brother, he is «very kind, wouldn»t even harm an ant.«

«He helps all those in need. When he sees an elderly woman passing by and having difficulty, he always helps. The media writes a lot of unreliable information,» said the brother.

Earlier we reported that the deceased Ilya P. was connected to the «right-wing subculture.» We published a report from his funeral in the Moscow Region. The farewell took place at the morgue, where dozens of people came with bouquets of red carnations, including the guy«s college classmates. Police and Rosgvardiya were on duty at the scene.
