A day earlier, the press service of the department reported that two police officers and their alleged accomplices had already been arrested in this case. From January 2025 to January 2026, the head of the logistics support department of the city police department in Vladivostok, together with a subordinate and two local residents, built a scheme for illegal earnings.
The department explained that drugs stored as material evidence and subject to destruction were substituted with visually similar substances. Investigators believe the defendants sold the real prohibited substances on the black market. They were handed over to group members for subsequent distribution.
Depending on the role and degree of involvement, the defendants are charged with attempted illegal sale of narcotic drugs, committed by an organized group on a particularly large scale, as well as exceeding official authority out of selfish interest.
The criminal scheme was uncovered and stopped by FSB officers in Primorye Krai. The regional prosecutor«s office emphasized that the progress and results of the criminal investigation are under special control.
