The story of how a dream of easy money turned into a prison sentence. A resident of the Stavropol Territory, together with her partner, decided to start a small drug business using dead drops. Instead of money, she received a prison term that will cancel out the next nine years of her life.
As reported by the prosecutor«s office of the Novoaleksandrovsky district, in September 2024, a 31-year-old resident of the territory and her partner bought drugs in Stavropol — at least 3.9 grams. Their goal was primitive: to place dead drops around the city and send buyers photos with the coordinates.
However, they failed to fully implement their criminal plan.
The dealers« activities were stopped by law enforcement officers. The woman was found with 16 bundles of narcotic drugs, which became key evidence in the case.
The court found her guilty under several serious articles — specifically, Part 3 of Article 30, paragraphs «a» and «b» of Part 3 of Article 228.1, Part 3 of Article 30, and paragraph «g» of Part 4 of Article 228.1 of the Russian Criminal Code (attempted illegal sale of narcotic drugs committed using information and telecommunication networks, by a group of persons by prior conspiracy, on a large and significant scale).
Taking into account the position of the state prosecutor, the woman was sentenced to 9 years of imprisonment to be served in a general regime penal colony. The sentence has not yet entered into force.
The criminal case against her accomplice has been separated into a separate proceeding — the investigation continues.
