The Pervomaysky District Court of Krasnodar, at the request of the Deputy General Prosecutor of Russia, has confiscated for state revenue the property of former chairman of the Rostov Regional Court Elena Zolotareva and her relatives.
Zolotareva was sentenced in December 2025 to 15 years of imprisonment and a fine of 170 million rubles (approximately $1,700,000 at current rates) for taking bribes. Her deputy Tatiana Yurova received 13 years in a penal colony and a fine of 120 million rubles (approximately $1,200,000 at current rates).
The criminal case began in April 2023 with searches and arrests of judges suspected of organizing a corruption scheme to deliver desired verdicts.
The investigation concluded that the apartment and cars were purchased with corrupt money but were formally registered in the name of Zolotareva«s son Sergei and confidant Maria Dankevich.
As a result of the court decision, the following were confiscated:
  • an apartment and a parking space;
  • cars Toyota Land Cruiser and Toyota Alphard;
  • monetary funds in the amount of 128.8 million rubles (approximately $1,288,000 at current rates), 27.8 thousand euros, and 11.7 thousand US dollars;
  • jewelry with a total value of 17.6 million rubles (approximately $176,000 at current rates), found during searches.
Additionally, 4 million rubles (approximately $40,000 at current rates) were recovered from the Zolotarev family as the equivalent cost of another apartment they previously owned.
