Beauty Queen from Perm Speaks Out About Domestic Violence

Ksenia Kin, a Perm resident, mother of two, and winner of many beauty contests, became a victim of domestic violence a year ago. Only now has she been able to comment on her difficult story. Her abuser is her former husband Sergei Yevteyev. During a joint vacation in India, he beat his wife, causing hearing loss and a miscarriage. The court found him guilty under the articles «Threat of murder or infliction of grave harm to health» and «Intentional infliction of moderate harm to health» and sentenced him to restriction of freedom for one and a half years. Ksenia told 59.RU the circumstances of what happened. We also studied the court verdict.

After the wedding, he changed completely

Ksenia Kin, director of the Perm modeling agency Mika and fashion show director, has been participating in beauty contests since 2018. In 2023, she won the grand prize at the «Beauty of Russia» contest. The jury chair was the famous fashion designer Vyacheslav Zaitsev.

In December 2024, Ksenia participated in the all-Russian beauty contest for businesswomen «Queen of the Year» and won. A year later, she entered the top-10 most beautiful girls in the country in the «Top-100 Successful and Exquisite Persons of Russia 2025» award. She won in the nomination «Icon of Genuine Beauty of Russia».

But just a year ago, the beauty and mother of two experienced the horror of domestic tyranny. Ksenia met her future husband Sergei Yevteyev in 2023. He is a former owner of his own fist-fighting league, as well as a candidate for deputy in the city council in one of the settlements of the Perm Krai.

«We met at fights — I was actively interested in sports at that time and attended various events,» recalls the 59.RU interviewee. «Afterwards, he started writing to me on VKontakte, began showing interest in me, picked me up from work, drove me home. He went with me to lunches, dinners, carried my bags, acted like a man.»

In January 2024, the couple got married. According to Ksenia, Sergei «was like a changed man after the marriage registry office.» The marriage lasted until November 2024.

«The full abuse began. And at first it was all for show. He knows how to speak beautifully, but it»s all words,« shares Ksenia. »He is extremely unreliable both in relationships and in business. And even in relations with friends he showed himself badly: to their face he says one thing, but behind their backs... Even here one can draw conclusions. All his life he has adhered to the rule «I am a little flower, love me, but I am not obligated to you.»«

Threatened to kill and maimed

In April 2024, the spouses went on vacation to Goa. During the vacation, Ksenia noticed that Sergei was texting other women. On April 29, a scandal erupted.

«I reacted to his latest texts. Of course, I was outraged that we were sitting at dinner on the seashore, and he was on his phone, I sharply pulled his hand away and saw a conversation with another girl,» says Ksenia. «He himself would make huge scandals over other people»s likes and comments, even demanded that I delete social media pages. He forced me to delete all followers, which is about 6.5 thousand people, and I sat for two days from morning till night deleting them. And here I reacted — and a scandal began. And everything turned into what happened.«

The circumstances of what happened are described in detail in the court verdict. It follows that Sergei threatened Ksenia with murder, she tried to escape from the room, but her husband began to «strike her head with his fists.» Ksenia was very scared, she took the threats seriously. In total, according to the court, he struck his wife seven times in the area of the left temple and left ear, three blows to the body. Then he threw her from the bed to the floor. Then he delivered four kicks to her back, left thigh, and left arm.

As follows from the forensic examination findings, Ksenia was found to have a closed trauma of the left ear, a contusion of the inner ear with the development of traumatic deafness in the left ear, a contusion of the left eye. Already at the Perm regional hospital, Ksenia was diagnosed with a concussion, deafness in the left ear. And a pregnancy of 3-4 weeks. She learned about it only at that moment. Because she had to continue treatment and therapy, she was told that the pregnancy would have to be terminated.

I have a very good attitude towards Ksenia

After returning from India, Ksenia immediately packed her things and left for her own place. She filed a lawsuit against Sergei. During the trial, mitigating circumstances in Sergei«s favor were taken into account: he is raising small children from a previous marriage, he apologized and admitted guilt, also his participation in public life and letters of gratitude were considered.

Sergei was found guilty on two articles — «Intentional infliction of moderate harm to health» and «Threat of murder or infliction of harm to health.» As a result, the court sentenced the man to restriction of freedom for one and a half years and to pay his former wife 500,000 rubles (approximately $5,600 at current rates) for moral damage.

From the court verdict, it follows that Sergei admitted guilt in threatening murder and inflicting harm to health, and also repented. He himself explained that in the hotel room in India, the conflict began «on the basis of jealousy.» He grabbed his wife by the hair, hit her.

«Where the blows landed and their number, what he used to strike, he remembers poorly,» states the court documents. «But he fully trusts his wife»s testimony. He admits that the existing injuries resulted from his actions. He apologizes to her. He was not in a state of alcohol intoxication, before that he drank a glass of beer.«

We wrote to Sergei on social media. On his page there are many photos with his wife. Under the pictures he wrote compliments, called his spouse his «precious wife.» Sergei answered our questions.

«I think comments here are unnecessary, I have a very good attitude towards Ksenia and we have no conflict with her, there is a verdict and now I am serving the punishment,» replied the interviewee.

The hearing loss became a deafening silence

Ksenia shared that she is still trying to cope with the consequences of what she experienced and with having partially lost her hearing.

«How did I survive? It was very hard for me. I couldn»t get used to this state at all,« noted the interviewee. »The hearing loss became for me a deafening silence that burst into the familiar world of sounds. First — denial, then — rage at the injustice, and finally, acceptance. I learned to listen with my heart, read lips, and appreciate those moments when the world still allows me to hear something. This loss forced me to reconsider my priorities and learn to enjoy silence. I looked into different surgeries. Unfortunately, our medicine in this area is not developed yet. There is an option, if I become completely deaf, then they will perform an operation, they put in some implants.«

Ksenia shared that after what happened, anxiety did not leave her for a long time. She calls her marriage an abusive relationship with a narcissist.

«It»s when you are slowly but surely erased from the face of the earth, devalued, your will and self-esteem broken,« notes the interviewee. »It«s as if you are drowning in a swamp, and the more you try to get out, the deeper you sink. When my husband raised his hand against me, it became the last straw that broke the camel»s back. I realized that I can no longer, do not want to, and will not endure this. An abuser initially behaves like this: all good, positive and so on. And as soon as the goal is achieved, he shows himself in all his glory, shows aggression, and you think: «It can»t be, he«s not like that, probably something happened»... In any case, he remained in the past, and I am moving on.«
