Beaten Moscow model needs skull plate surgery for rehabilitation
Brutally beaten model Angelika Tartanova still cannot recover from the injuries inflicted by her boyfriend in December 2025. The girl spent New Year«s in a Moscow hospital, where she was recovering from surgery to remove the damaged part of her skull.
Recently, the family took Angelika home to Krasnodar, Russia, MSK1.RU was informed by the Memory Foundation, which is helping the girl. However, treatment is not yet complete. According to her sister, she needs another surgical intervention, and then — a long and expensive rehabilitation.
«Friends, Angelika faces a long course of treatment. In February — surgery to install a plate, and then all rehabilitation from the start. Large funds are needed,» said the victim«s sister Anastasia in a video from the foundation.
As indicated to MSK1.RU by the organization, Angelika is now in Krasnodar waiting for surgery to install a metal plate in her head.
Next, the girl needs to spend two weeks under the supervision of doctors in a medical center. Then, the model will be transferred to a rehabilitation center for six months.
All this, according to approximate estimates, costs more than 1.5 million rubles (approximately $15,000 at current rates). The family does not have such money, so a fundraiser has already been started on the pages of the Memory Foundation.
«During rehabilitation, doctors will help her restore all the functions she lost. A psychotherapist will also work with her there,» said a foundation employee. «There, she is given IV drips, and all her tests are monitored. She still finds it difficult to speak. She experiences such strong pressure inside.»
Recall that Angelika was in the hospital from the beginning of December. She was delivered to intensive care after a brutal beating. She underwent a craniotomy and coma. She remembers almost nothing of what happened to her. Due to the injuries, the model has lost some functions.
As told to MSK1.RU by Angelika«s sister Anastasia, 40-year-old Dmitry Kuzmin, whom the media calls the victim»s boyfriend and also the one who beat her, is not helping with the treatment. Moreover, according to relatives, the investigation is being delayed.
«Now negotiations are being conducted by lawyers,» Anastasia said in a conversation with the correspondent.
Because of this, funds for her sister«s treatment have to be raised on social media and with the help of charitable organizations. Previously, with the efforts of the foundation, the family raised money for rehabilitation, which cost 120,000 rubles (approximately $1,200 at current rates). Doctors helped the girl cope with severe pain with the help of special IV drips and therapy.
Earlier, Dmitry Kuzmin, accused of beating the model, was placed under house arrest for two months. According to journalists from 93.RU, the man was engaged in the construction business and was allegedly generous to the girl. Nevertheless, Angelika complained to relatives about his excessive jealousy. He forbade his beloved to communicate with relatives and fly to her sisters in Krasnodar.
