In Sasovo district in the Ryazan region of Russia, a 74-year-old man threatened his 48-year-old wife with a kitchen knife after a drinking session. The woman reported the incident to the police, according to the Ryazan Regional Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Local police officers arrived at the scene, seized the knife from the man, and took him to the police station.
The husband and wife were drinking together, and during the session, the woman began to reproach her husband for neglecting household chores since New Year, not helping with housework, and only drinking.
The man lost his temper, grabbed a knife, and threatened to kill his wife if she did not shut up. Frightened, the woman ran to a neighbor and called the police for help.
A criminal case has been initiated against the man, and he faces up to two years in prison.
