Teenage Cat Abandoned in Trash in Arkhangelsk
A young cat was rescued after being abandoned in a bag at a trash site in Arkhangelsk.
A horrifying incident occurred in the center of Arkhangelsk. A young cat was found at a container site in «packaging» — unknown individuals left him there like trash. We tell how the poor animal was rescued and what happened to him now.
The cat was discovered on November 20 near the house at Voskresenskaya, 116. He was wearing a flea collar. At first, they thought it was a female.
The cat was wrapped in a shoe bag with an additional plastic bag from a local store on top.
«We had to calm the grandmother down for two days. The cat is clearly a pet, wearing a collar, young, under a year old. She was shaking all over from the cold because the bag was thrown on the asphalt. The granny released the kitten into the basement, then called me. She caught it after a day, the cat was in terrible stress, but in the end, even a cat trap wasn»t needed, she went to hands. With further close interaction, the kitten turned out to be very affectionate, and it was discovered that it«s a male.»

The rescued cat bears a striking resemblance to the cartoon character Felix from cat food packaging.
Volunteer Elena offers foster care for many homeless animals in the Arkhangelsk area.
Now Felix is in the care of volunteer Elena, who helps homeless animals.
«In my opinion, the cat is less than a year old, about 8–9 months. A very affectionate, sociable, and playful little one. No treatment needed, just neutering,» she said. «I have two foster homes: one at home, the other is a trailer. There are many animals, chances for adoption are very small, practically zero.»
