Shark filmed on video near Vladivostok

The footage was captured on a day with clear skies and calm seas, ideal for diving.
Sharks have long been common in Primorye, but sightings near Vladivostok are still rare. On October 21, local diver Dmitriy Rudas filmed one and shared the video on his Telegram channel.
Dmitriy Rudas shared the video on his Telegram channel, where he posts his diving adventures.
«Yesterday brought us beautiful weather and incredible underwater encounters! We were able to happily film sharks!» he said.
The footage shows the shark swimming leisurely at depth, first in one direction and then another. Other marine life is visible in the background.
On August 15, a shark attacked a boat, puncturing its lower pontoon, and fishermen from Primorye nearly drowned in Akhlestyshev Bay. The shark circled the boat for a long time and bit the side when the fishermen pulled up a fish cage from the water. Even starting the engine didn«t scare off the intruder. The video»s creators had to paddle to shore, continuously reinflating the boat as they went.
Some followers doubted the video«s authenticity, questioning whether a shark could attempt to bite through a boat. However, Alexander Olifirenko, a candidate of biological sciences, told VLADIVOSTOK1.RU that this is typical shark behavior. As sharks also eat carrion, it might have mistaken the boat for a floating carcass and »taken a bite.«
«After the shark attempted to bite a piece of the boat, it realized it wasn«t food, but its teeth are so sharp that it could easily puncture an inflatable boat,» the scientist added.
