In Samara, a remarkable cat is being offered for free adoption. His fur is so vividly red it«s almost blinding! Sadly, this little one has had a tough life. He currently resides in a cat café, where staff have described his personality.

“Grillage is a tender and loving kitten. He previously lived on the streets and is somewhat fearful of new environments, but his charm is undeniable! Once he warms up to you, he«ll sit in your lap for hours, cuddling and nuzzling, with his purrs and meows never ceasing,” according to animal welfare advocates.

Grillage often perches on visitors« laps now, but he remains anxious around crowds. He requires a gentle and patient approach, as sudden movements and loud noises frighten him.

“However, if you approach him gradually, speaking softly and kindly, he will eventually warm up and bond with you. He needs time to adjust, but this wonderful cat will bring his future family immense joy, affection, and quiet, cozy playtimes,” shared the cat café.

His whiskers are impressively long and add to his charming appearance.

The kitten has been returned to the cat café twice after previous adoptions.

“The first time, he failed to bond with another cat in the household, and the second adoption struggled due to his shy demeanor. This is why we emphasize the need for a gradual adjustment period — he may be terrified in a new environment, and earning the trust of this ginger beauty takes patience,” caution the animal welfare workers.

This cat is house-trained, vaccinated, neutered, parasite-free, and screened for common feline viruses.

Cats are adopted out from the cat café under a responsible ownership contract, not without conditions.

“We remain available for support indefinitely after adoption. Adopters can seek advice on veterinary clinics, food, medications, and groomers. We also offer free behavioral consultations with our animal psychologist,” state the cat café staff.
