Fabula: US Show Jumper Becomes Siberian Therapy Horse
Fabula was once a star in the equestrian world, competing in show jumping and striving for success. She was born in the US, lived in Ukraine, and after the start of the special military operation, was transported to Siberia for safety.
A video compilation shows Fabula«s journey from a show jumper to a therapy horse in Siberia.
“They called and said: ‘Will you take Fabula?’ I was like: ‘Yes, what happiness!’” said Oksana Sukhanova, director of the Omsk equestrian club “Ankor.”
Fabushka, as she is affectionately called here, quickly became a local favorite. Seeing her photo on social media, her former owners from Donbas wanted to bring Fabula back.
“Of course, it’s nice to have such a horse living with you. But for me, every horse is a friend. I don’t betray my friends under any conditions. No matter who wants to buy from me, I will never sell,” says Oksana.
Fabula has a unique character — the former sporty and spirited horse has come to love working with children. With young riders, she becomes patient and docile, making her perfect for hippotherapy. Now, the “American” has an important mission in Siberia — to help rehabilitate children with cerebral palsy and other conditions.
