In Novosibirsk, a home is being sought for a stern cat from the shelter named Volya. She was given to volunteers after her owner«s death.

Volya was brought to the Bastet«s Legacy shelter on a holiday — February 23. It turned out that her owner had died, and relatives could not take the cat.

«As we later understood, not everyone can handle Volya,» explained the shelter director Imran Tano. «She quickly showed us her true colors when we were conducting the necessary vaccination course. She flew around the cage with a howl and swiped with her paw. She»s not wild, just nervous. And we believe that her nervousness is aggravated by her fellow cats.«

Over time, the cat has gotten used to the volunteers; she can be held for a short while, her cage can be cleaned calmly, and she can even be played with using a teaser. But still, Volya gets worked up at the drop of a hat if something displeases her. She is forced to live in a cage for the safety of the other cats.

The cat is spayed, vaccinated against viruses, and microchipped. She can be adopted at the Tail Day adoption fair, which will take place on November 15 at the MEGA shopping center. Volunteers note that this cat needs owners without small children in the home.

On October 29, NGS wrote about another affectionate cat — he is also forced to live in a cage, but for a different reason.
