Brazen ginger cat adopted as Ufa fire station mascot
The ginger cat showed no shame in making the fire station its home.
Rescuers from one of Ufa«s fire stations told how they sheltered a homeless cat. Or rather, according to their story, he sheltered himself with them in early October.
The cat«s new domain is located on Babushkina Street. According to the firefighters, attempts to explain to the ginger face that the station is a workplace for emergency services led to nothing. To all remarks, he responded by purring and rubbing against the rescuers» boots.
Despite his cunning ways, the cat won hearts with his affectionate behavior.
«He just came and sat by the gates. He was thin but dignified. We thought he would eat and leave. But he looked at us as if we were old friends, and we understood: he«s staying here.»
«He«s a full-fledged employee. He responsibly sees off the trucks on calls, anxiously watching the hurrying firefighters. He meets the tired crew, as if asking: “Well, how did it go? Did you put out everything?”» joke the Emergency Ministry of Bashkiria.
The cat diligently oversees the fire station«s daily operations as if on duty.
