Week begins with frost in Arkkhangelsk Oblast

The cold will gradually set in across Arkhangelsk Oblast, but the week will start with relatively favorable weather. Here is the forecast from the Northern Branch of the Hydrometeorological Service (Northern UGMSS).

Monday will see cloudy weather with clearings. Light snow will fall at night in most areas and in some places during the day. Some districts will experience icy and frost deposits.

The wind will be south-westerly and southerly at 3-8 m/s, with gusts up to 13 m/s in places.

Temperatures at night and during the day will be between -11°C and -16°C (12.2°F and 3.2°F).

The week will bring colder weather to Arkhangelsk Oblast. Forecasters report that after a warm weekend, the frost will intensify.

«Next week, the weather will be predominantly cyclonic, so snow is expected in most areas. By mid-week, the frost will intensify again,» reports the Northern UGMSS.

During clearings, temperatures are expected to drop to -25… -30 °C (-13… -22°F).
