Weather in Rostov early February: frost and precipitation

After a relatively warm end to January, a new cold wave is expected in Rostov. According to meteorologists« forecasts, temperatures will drop sharply, and the city will be covered by snowfall and rain.

The workweek in February will start with a cold snap. During the day, the air will warm up to an average of -8…-10 °C (18…14°F), and in the evenings, thermometer readings will drop to -14…-16 °C (7…3°F). On some nights, temperatures could fall to -18 °C (0°F). By the next weekend, the situation will change: it will warm up to +1…+2 °C (34…36°F).

The weather will be mostly cloudy. On Monday, February 2, snowfall and a blizzard are forecast. By the end of the week, rain and wet snow are expected, creating conditions for ice and snowdrifts on the roads. «The wind will be northwesterly and northerly, shifting to northeasterly at 7–12 m/s, with gusts up to 15 m/s during the day,» according to the Hydrometeorological Center bulletin.
