Snowstorm warning announced in Yaroslavl

From 18:00 on January 26 to 09:00 on January 27, a snowstorm, intense snowfall, and reduced visibility to 300–800 meters are expected in Yaroslavl and the region.
The Yaroslavl mayor«s office reported:
Strengthening of the southwest wind with gusts up to 15 m/s, icy conditions on roads, and snow buildup are expected in parts of Yaroslavl Oblast and Yaroslavl. <…> Pedestrians, move carefully on streets and roads. Drivers, be attentive, observe speed limits and distance.

According to the meteorological service «Phobos,» a warm cyclone will change the weather in Central Russia in the coming week from January 26 to February 1. Frosts will be replaced by warming and precipitation. In Yaroslavl Oblast, the temperature will rise by Wednesday, January 28, to -8…-13 degrees Celsius (18…9°F) during the day. However, by the upcoming weekend, frosts will return to the region, and thermometer readings may drop to -22 degrees Celsius (-8°F).
