On the evening of January 25, rain fell in Krasnodar, and frost hit overnight. Due to this, by morning, heavy ice formed on the roads and sidewalks. By 09:00, 130 accidents were recorded in Krasnodar, and residents told 93.RU that it hasn«t been this slippery on the streets since the beginning of the year.

At 09:28, a post was published on the Krasnodar Unified Duty Dispatch Service (EDDS) Telegram channel, warning of heavy ice. Authorities advised choosing shoes with low heels and textured soles.

«Move with small, sliding steps on slightly bent legs, stepping on the entire sole. Be careful: look at your feet and avoid dangerous areas,» wrote the EDDS Telegram channel.

The city hall itself reported that since night, roads, overpasses, bridges, and even suburban thoroughfares had been treated with anti-ice mixture.
