Forecasters Predict Cold and Snowy February in Voronezh Region

February in the Voronezh Region this year will be frosty and snowy. This was reported by the regional Hydrometeorological Center.

The average temperature for the month will be 1 degree below the norm, which for our region in February is -5.7 degrees Celsius (21.7°F). Precipitation is also expected to exceed the long-term average of 39 mm.

The coldest period will likely be the first week of February. Forecasters warn: up until February 5, temperatures in the Voronezh Region are expected to drop to -29 degrees Celsius (-20.2°F). The severe cold will persist even during the day, with thermometers showing up to -21 degrees Celsius (-5.8°F). No precipitation is expected during this time.

Snowfalls, according to preliminary forecasts, will again cover the region in mid-February. The portal Gismeteo even promises precipitation every day, starting from February 9 until the end of the month. Temperatures during this period will not drop below -10 degrees Celsius (14°F). Yandex has a more favorable forecast: snow only from February 9 to 12, followed by warming up to 0 degrees Celsius (32°F).
