Volgograd allocates billion for four Longitudinal highway repairs

The municipal enterprise «Komdorstroy» has posted auction documentation on the public procurement portal. The organization is seeking a contractor to repair four sections of the First and Second Longitudinal highways in Volgograd for a total of 1.086 billion rubles (about $10.9 million at current rates).

The list of objects includes:

  • Lenin Avenue (from Tarifnaya to Shtemenko);
  • 64th Army Street (from Sanatornaya to Izolyatornaya);
  • Lazorevaya in the Kirovsky district;
  • Heroes of Stalingrad Avenue (from Lazorevaya to Udmurtskaya).
According to the contract, the contractor is required to install or replace bus stop pavilions and traffic lights, as well as flush the storm sewer networks.

Work is scheduled to begin on March 15, 2026. Lenin Avenue, 64th Army Street, and Heroes of Stalingrad Avenue will be repaired by the end of 2026. Lazorevaya Street is to be put in order in 2027. All work is funded from the Volgograd budget and must be completed by September 1, 2027.
