Temporary bus route to be launched in Chelyabinsk for bridge repair

Transport officials have detailed the schedule for the temporary bus route, which will operate during the major overhaul of a bridge over the Miass River.

In the Metallurgichesky District, a new bus route No. 16 will start operating on February 1. It will run during the major repair of the bridge over the Miass River on Cherkasskaya Street. This was announced on Friday, January 30, by the institution «Transport Organizer of Chelyabinsk Oblast».

Two minibuses will run at 25-minute intervals along the following route: Cherkasskaya – Peti Kalmykova – Metallurgov Highway – Rumyantseva – Bogdana Khmelnitskogo – Stalevarov – 60-Letiya Oktyabrya.

In the opposite direction: 60-Letiya Oktyabrya – Stalevarov – Bogdana Khmelnitskogo – Rumyantseva – Druzhby – Obukhova – Metallurgov Highway – Cherkasskaya.

The first bus from Pershino will depart at 6:08, and from the Chelyabinsk Iron and Steel Works (ChMK) at 6:38. The last bus from Pershino will leave at 19:37, and from ChMK at 19:17.

Recall that the bridge on Cherkasskaya Street was closed on August 1, 2025. The restrictions are expected to last until June 2027.
