Irkutsk route 4k minibus fare to hit 50 rubles

The fare increase applies to minibus route 4k, connecting Central Market to suburbs in Irkutsk.
In Irkutsk, the fare on another private public transport route will be increased, it was reported on January 30 in the mayor«s office»s Telegram channel.
From February 15, the fare on route No. 4k Central Market — Rabocheye suburb — Kopai — Piskunova will be changed. The cost of one trip will be 50 rubles (approximately $1 at current rates) regardless of the time.
«Recall that commercial carriers, according to current legislation, have the right to independently decide on increasing the fare by sending a corresponding notification to the city administration,» the mayor«s office stated.
Transportation on this route is handled by the company «TransKom», owned by entrepreneur Pavel Shevchenko. It also services routes No. 27 Topkinsky microdistrict — Central Market, 10t rehabilitation center — Central Market, and 45 Pervomaisky microdistrict — airport.
According to the service «Kontur.Fokus», the revenue of «TransKom» at the end of 2024 was 12.2 million rubles (approximately $122,000 at current rates), net profit — 1.1 million rubles (approximately $11,000). There is also information about revenue received through online cash registers in 2025, which exceeded 13.5 million rubles (approximately $135,000 at current rates).
