Chelyabinsk-Phuket Charter Delayed for Day After Mechanical Issue

A flight operated by Azur Air from Chelyabinsk to Phuket has been delayed for more than a day. According to online flight boards, the departure has been rescheduled to 9:35 on 29 January.

Departure times for the flight were adjusted multiple times before the delay.

Passengers have been accommodated at the Malakhit Hotel for the wait. One tourist said: «As we understood, a different plane will be flying.»

Azur Air«s press service refuted this information. »The aircraft remains the same. Technical work is being carried out on the airliner,« the company commented.

Initially, the flight was supposed to depart at 22:45 the previous day. The departure time was postponed several times: first to 5:50 on 28 January, then to 10:20.

After arriving at the airport, it became clear that the aircraft was technically faulty, and everyone was sent to hotels.
