Car Struck by Train on Yaroslavl Line in Moscow Region

A car is shown with side damage after being struck by a train on the railway line.
On the morning of Friday, January 30, on the Yaroslavl line between Krasnoarmeysk and Sofrino, a car was hit by a train. The incident was reported by the press service of the Moscow Railway (MZhD).

Scene footage displays the damaged vehicle and railway tracks after the collision.
According to preliminary data, the driver drove onto the tracks right in front of an approaching train. The train emergency braked, but could not avoid the collision — fortunately, with no consequences for passengers. However, the driver of the car was injured. An ambulance was promptly called for him.

The automobile sustained extensive crumpling on its side from the train impact.
The impact struck the side of the car. The train remained on the rails, which helped avoid much more serious consequences.

Police authorities are seen investigating the incident site on the Yaroslavl line.
«During the period of clearing the aftermath of the accident, two trains are delayed. The Moscow Railway urges drivers to be vigilant when crossing railway tracks and strictly follow the rules,» stated the press service of MZhD.
Suburban service on the section gradually returned to normal. Now, the police are handling the case, conducting an investigation into the incident.
This is not the first emergency on January 30 on the Yaroslavl line. Passengers complained about train delays of more than 20 minutes. It turned out that the disruption occurred due to a person on the tracks. This happened around 6 a.m.
