Chita twin advances to beauty contest semi-final following sister

Chita is represented by two names in the semi-finals of the national competition «Avia Miss 2». Following 26-year-old Anna Kupriyanova, her twin sister Irina has also advanced to the semi-finals. Both girls work as air traffic controllers, the organizers informed «Chita.Ru» on January 22.

Irina Kupriyanova was born and raised in Chita. Her life has been connected to aviation since childhood: her father is a pilot, and her mother worked as a flight attendant in the past. After school, Irina enrolled in the Krasnoyarsk branch of the St. Petersburg State University of Civil Aviation, specializing in «air traffic control», which she graduated from in 2020.

In 2021, she started working as an air traffic controller at Chita Airport. During this time, Irina obtained a second clearance as a tower controller, which is responsible for the direct takeoff and landing of aircraft. Simultaneously, she heads the Transbaikal primary trade union organization of the Federal Trade Union of Air Traffic Controllers of Russia.
