Designer battling cancer announces charity evening dress collection

Designer Olesya Klebleyeva from Ryazan has announced a show of her new collection. It will take place on her birthday, March 5, at the Modus restaurant in Moscow.

The show will be charitable — the funds raised will be donated by Olesya to the Ryazan Children«s Aid Fund (Ryazansky Fond Pomoshchi Detyam) for the treatment of Pasha Polyakov from the Sarayevsky District. The boy was injured in a traffic accident and is now undergoing long-term rehabilitation — learning to speak and walk again.

‘That day he went with friends to ride a moped. He promised to come back very soon. But he was gone for so long… I got worried. It turned out my heart felt trouble. At the intersection, he was hit by a car. I didn«t want to believe it! It was all like a nightmare,’ his mother said. The boy was in a coma, but doctors managed to save his life. Rehabilitation costs over one million rubles (approximately $11,000 at current rates).

At Olesya«s charity show, a dress code is planned. For women — evening and cocktail dresses, for men — black trousers and white shirts.

Olesya Klebleyeva — a designer, host, and model — was born in Ryazan Region. Olesya has participated in beauty pageants many times, and in 2023 she won one of the most prestigious, receiving the title ‘Miss Russia-Universe’. The Ryazan native was also recognized as ‘Woman of the Year’ in the ‘evening dress designer’ category.

In a lengthy interview with our publication, Olesya said that she never studied design, but when she started attending beauty pageants and red carpets, she realized — there is a shortage of beautiful, feminine things in Russia.

‘I am for femininity, for elegance, aesthetics, beauty, sexuality. And it doesn«t matter what size — fortieth, fiftieth. Now in this capsule, I will be sewing size forty-six. I believe that any girl can be dressed very beautifully, highlighting her advantages. And so I decided to sew as I see it, what I see. Now I dress even celebrity clients, my items are presented in very cool stores,’ the girl said.

At the height of her stellar career, Olesya learned of a terrible diagnosis — multiple myeloma of the third, final, stage. For a year, the girl fought the dreadful disease and achieved one of her main victories — attaining stable remission of the incurable illness.
