SKA Misses Victory Over Spartak
St. Petersburg's SKA suffered a defeat to Moscow's Spartak in a home KHL regular season match, despite leading for most of the game.

The match at the Ice Palace in St. Petersburg on January 22 ended with a 2:1 victory for the visitors. The hosts opened the scoring in the 4th minute with a goal by Nikita Nedopekin.
However, in the third period, the Muscovites managed to turn the game around: first, Nikita Korostelyov equalized the score, and with two minutes left before the final siren, a precise shot by Danil Pivchulin gave Spartak a hard-fought victory.
As a result of this defeat, SKA, with 53 points, dropped to eighth place in the standings. Spartak, with 55 points, occupies the seventh position. In the next rounds, on January 24, SKA will play in Nizhny Novgorod against Torpedo, while the red-and-whites will host Yaroslavl«s Lokomotiv at home on January 25.
