Samara football club Krylia Sovetov has finally shared good news: the team has a new addition! Daniel Fernandez Fernandez, known as Dani, will defend the green-white-blue colors.

«Professional Football Club »Krylia Sovetov« has reached an agreement on the transfer of 28-year-old Spanish defender Dani Fernandez,» states a post on the team«s Telegram channel.

Fernandez is a product of the academies at Valdemoro, Getafe, Leganés, and Real Madrid. In 2015, he made his debut in a match against Toledo. In 2016, Daniel moved to Mérida on loan. In 2017, the athlete was loaned to club Fuenlabrada, then the player returned to Castilla. From 2020 to 2022, Fernandez played for Racing. In the Russian Premier League, the defender played for Khimki (then coached by Magomed Adiev). After the club«s dissolution, the player played for Greek club Asteras.

Sports insider Ivan Karpov revealed the estimated size of Fernandez«s salary.

«The Spaniard will receive 2.8 million rubles per month (approximately $31,100 at current rates),» Karpov told Euro Football.
