Yaroslavl Lokomotiv announced on 22 January the extension of contracts with two hockey players from its championship-winning roster — defenseman Andrei Sergeev and forward Georgii Ivanov.

The 34-year-old Sergeev, one of the club«s oldest players, signed a new agreement that will run until spring 2028. His previous contract was set to expire on 31 May 2026. His salary will be 60 million rubles per season (approximately $667,000 at current rates).

The 27-year-old forward Georgii Ivanov signed a contract until the end of the 2027/28 season. The player«s earnings per season are estimated at 35 million rubles (approximately $389,000).

Lokomotiv commented on the decision regarding Ivanov: «Our homegrown player has played for his native club throughout his entire career in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL). For Lokomotiv, Georgii has played over 500 matches. He has 176 points — 73 goals and 103 assists.»
