Lokomotiv announces contract extensions for two players

The Yaroslavl hockey club Lokomotiv has extended contracts with two players from its championship-winning squad. On 22 January, the club announced the signing of agreements with defenseman Andrei Sergeyev and forward Georgy Ivanov.
Previously, the contract of 34-year-old Andrei Sergeyev was valid until 31 May 2026. Now one of the club«s oldest players will remain with the team until spring 2028.
According to the publication Sport-Express, the defenseman«s salary for the season is 60 million rubles (approximately $600,000 at current rates). Meanwhile, 27-year-old Georgy Ivanov will earn 35 million rubles (approximately $350,000) per season.
Incidentally, the agreement with Ivanov is signed until the end of the 2027/28 season.
«Our homegrown player has played for his native club throughout his entire KHL (Continental Hockey League) career. For Lokomotiv, Georgy has played over 500 matches. He has 176 points — 73 goals and 103 assists,» the club commented.
