A court in Yekaterinburg has dismissed a lawsuit filed by an architect who sought to return an apartment sold under the «Dolina scheme». The transaction was concluded on 15 February 2025.
The buyers were a married couple from Chelyabinsk Region. They purchased a one-room apartment with an area of 29.8 square meters on Shaumyan Street for 4.4 million rubles (approximately $48,900 at current rates) and officially registered the ownership rights.
During the court proceedings, the new owners provided evidence of the transaction«s good faith. For her part, the seller claimed that she was a victim of fraudsters: she was under constant psychological pressure, was deceived, and could not comprehend the consequences of her actions. It was this, she said, that the criminals took advantage of. Because of this, she refused to hand over the apartment keys to the buyers.
The court also took into account that the sold property was not the architect«s only residence. Therefore, the woman would not be left homeless, which also influenced the decision.
