In Yekaterinburg, a court has refused an architect«s request to return an apartment sold under the »Dolina scheme«. We detailed this story in this article.

The purchase took place on 15 February 2025. For a one-room apartment with an area of 29.8 square meters on Shaumyan Street, a couple from the Chelyabinsk region paid 4.4 million rubles (approximately $44,000 at current rates) and registered the ownership. In court, they were able to prove that the transaction was honest.

During the hearing, the seller insisted that she was under constant psychological pressure at the time, was deceived, and could not comprehend the consequences of her actions, which the criminals exploited. The former owner refused to hand over the keys of the property she sold to the new owners.

In the end, after hearing the arguments of both parties, the court refused to satisfy the claim. The apartment remained in the ownership of the bona fide buyers.

The court also added that the woman would not be left homeless: the sold apartment was not her only residence.
